WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT

Since the first guests walked down Main Street, U.S.A., on Oct. 1, 1971, Walt Disney World Resort has become an iconic destination for millions of families around the world. Today, it is home to four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, 26 owned-and-operated resorts and hundreds of merchandise and dining experiences.

Walt Disney World is also undergoing a massive expansion project across the resort. The expansion includes the 2012 opening of Disney's Art of Animation Resort and continues with New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom park, which nearly doubles the size of the original land. New in 2014, race through the diamond mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on The Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster, the rockingest, rollingest, twistiest train ride ever. Disney also recently announced new creative details around a new AVATAR-themed land that will be part of the largest expansion in the history of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. And opening in phases, the new Disney Springs will transform Downtown Disney into a timeless and vibrant place that celebrates the turn-of-the century lakeside towns that dotted the Florida landscape.
