Initially influenced quite strongly by the previous owner TV chef Keith Floyd, Maria Scialacomo now stands squarely on her own 2Rooms feet and has developed a pop-in neighborhood bistro with a strong local reputation. The 2 Rooms in question are a spacious basement and ground floor (with an appetite's view of the open kitchen) decorated stylishly with LED lights that constantly change color, vibrant wall art, large mirrors and leather sofas all of which sets off the neutral decoration scheme and table linen. The seasonally changing menu is modern European. Every dish is homemade by the owner; her specials in particular have become firm favorites with regulars. And for those who want to tap their feet while they eat there are regular live jazz evenings. The restaurant opens at 7p.
