Situated right on the Pest bank of the Danube—although not quite in the river—the Admiral is done out to look like a boat, especially its interior. It offers great views of the river and Gellert Hill and has a sunny terrace. The venue makes it a popular destination in the spring and summer months. The interior is all wood and has an old-fashioned feel. The low arch of the ceiling and the elegant fixtures and fittings also recall a bygone age. The menu mixes traditional Hungarian dishes with some international specialties. Some of the dishes are quite heavy and meat-oriented.
