I was lucky enough to study abroad in Aix for a spring semester. I learned everything there was to know about this enchanting little city. The nightlife was great. I loved the irish pubs and a club called Scat right it old Aix. There was nothing better than having a glass of wine at a cafe to just sit and watch for hours. AIX is on the way to....

Best thing I found about AIX is that you go thru ot on the way to anywhere in the region. Its nice to se and visit, but like Grasse, its hard to get around in and very crowded. I prefer Reiz and that area. ... Read Full Review | Report This

All of Provence is magnificent

My wife and I went to Aix during a week long stay in Provence and we both really like Aix. The best raspberry tart I've ever tasted was bought in a patisserie there. There's also great cafes, restaurants and galleries (Van Gogh painted a good deal here, some while he was in an asylum in nearby St. Remy. Cezanne also captured the beauty of Provence in many of his paintings. A good book to read if you're considering the area is 'A Year in Provence' by Peter Mayle. It's a great vacation read a ...
