Al's Tikka Grill is a cafe by day and an Indian restaurant by night. Being practically the only Indian restaurant south of the river, it's a real find and has been pleasing Bristol's hungry for three years now. Warm, cosy decor and amazingly cheap curries, what more could you want? Well, an inside toilet perhaps (it's an outside shed), but that's a small price to pay - except when it's raining! If you want frills, you're in the wrong place but if you fancy a cheap and delicious curry (lots of vegetarian options and all the usual suspects - dhansak, balti, vindaloo, korma etc.) look no further. It gets very busy at weekends, so book ahead and it's not licensed, so bring a few beers from the off-licence up the street.
