Visited both Ciaro and Egypt this past July with our 2 children, 9 & 17 years-old. There were times that we felt a bit uneasy due to over-agressive peddlers that tracked us with a vengence anytime we were in a tourist rich area such as at the pyrimids and when we failed to buy from them they would curse (they all used the same profanity aimed at women, they never cursed at my husband). As frequent travelers, we are very used to seeing the peddlers, but they are typically respectful of the tourists. The Egyptian government should crack down on these men and have them be more gracious to the money spending tourists that do nothing but admire their culture and pump endless cash into their economy. I'm happy we went, but I wouldn't go back.
