If you have been fascinated by the middle ages or if you've always been curious about what Robin Hood ate, then you have to visit the Alte Kuch'n & Im Keller. It's only a few minutes away from the Hauptmarkt and very near the Albrecht-Dürer-Haus. The restaurant is housed in what used to be the cellar of a monastery (dating from 1592). People from all over the world come here to sample the 'Knight's dinner' and parties are often held here. The atmosphere is truly original and the food is sumptuous. The wines are all from Franconia, and the beers, which have been brewed exclusively for the restaurant, make a fantastic accompaniment to your meal.
