Too many people. Beautiful little town, great beaches but...too crowded and way too expensive. Nothing for kids to do unless you stay at beach all day or go to a very expensive movie. I live here year round for the past 42 years and I love it but would not come here on vacation if you paid me!

I live there... Summer here, unless your from away is really nothing that great, the beaches are PACKED with tourists and people who come out for the summer, you won't get a parking spot in any beach lots after 10:00am unless you're an extremely lucky person, in most cases the celebrities don't want you to know they're celebrities unless they're trying to make a reservation at one of the local restaurants and then they feel the need to say their name time and time again until they are seated. It's hot, it's expensve, way more expensive than it should be... Gas alone is almost double the national average, if not a little over. Believe me, being that I live here year round, I am telling you, the Hamptons are beautiful year round, avoid them in the summer.

too crowded in the summer...with the worlds most beautiful beaches..hit the beach for sunrise have breakfast and get out of dodge
