Quiet, private, great car show venue annually "next door", uninspiring beach, (a "island" by technical definition only. The brige crosses a salt marsh so don't expect to be miles at sea)great weather in late fall through late spring, summer is hot and humid but it IS Florida, upscale property that is not too large, not too many kids (yet), easy access to Jacksonville airport with increasing non-stops to avoid Atlanta. (I did not know that was possible until trip to Jacksonville.) Great staff. Somewhat larger than Ritz next door but newer. Perfect for incentive meetings. Many of our guests have since returned for second personal visit. It's still new and unique so interest is created for those who have "been everywhere". However, if smaller and intimate is on the agenda, go for the Ritz. If you go during the Florida vs. Georgia weekend, forget the quiet part and enjoy one of the best places to stay in area and the largest cocktail party you will ever attend. Otherwise, plan to miss that weekend.
