2.Annapolis is a very fun town for a weekend getaway

We've been several times. Afternoons can be spent people watching shopping in the many quant stores downtown or seeing the sites. Fall Saturday afternoons are particularly nice whether the Navy football teem is playing in town or not. It is dificult to spend a weekend thee without meeting local residents - and odds are good that you will get invited sailing. Fall Saturday afternoons are particularly nice whether the Navy football teem is playing in town or not. It is dificult to spend a weekend thee without meeting local residents - and odds are good that you will get invited sailing. Don't be afrain to wonder off to some of the local places off the neaten track. The people here are very nice and very hospitable. The night life is lively even when the two colleges are out for the summer. Plenty of Irish pubs and live music. Rams head tavern is a particularly nice spot with national act booked every week. Avordable hotels are outside of the downtown area but just a short and inexpensive cab ride away. It looks like there are plenty of B&B's but we have not stayed in them
