Antigua is one of the Caribbean's laziest islands, content to perfect days with no rush or anticipation. Antigua is not a location filled with bustling activities and populated city centers. It's more of a relaxed paradise. This tiny island is only 14 miles long and 11 miles wide, covering about 108 square miles. The beauty is in its desert island atmosphere. Antigua's coral reef snared and shipwrecked many ships through the years, and is now on display for snorkelers seeking buried treasure.
Antigua Hotels are as close to Paradise as one can get in the Caribbean. Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort, is located on a private island. Jumby Bay can only be accessed by boat and features some of the whitest sand beaches in the world. Carlisle Bay is in the southern part of Antigua, near the lush rain forest.
Other Antigua hotels include Coconut Beach Club and The Jolly Harbour Villas. The Coconut Beach Club is self-proclaimed as the friendliest of the Antigua hotels, and it offers private hammocks on a private beach.
