Wonderful Jinan

I just return from Jinan and I I had one of the best times of my life. Which is difficult to admit since I've been traveling Asia for the last 16 years.
The people were warm and friendly everywhere I went in the city. There was so much to see and do the mountain with 1000 buddha statues was amazing it had to take lifetimes to carve them in the mountain and the cave.
The Park in the city was large and beautiful with great places to walk and very scenic. The park that follows the stream around the city was also great. I got up really early one morning and watch people precticing Tai Chi in the park and they even tried to teach me.
It is a great place to visit and I would recommend it to anyone. It's not as large as Beijing and there's not as much there to see but it's also not a tourist trap where you pay to much for everything. For example I spent more for two nights in Beijing at a smaller but newer hotel than I did for a week in Jinan. It was so good I'm ready to go back.

I taught English at Women's College for 2 yrs in Jinan and I loved it there. The people are wonderful the city has some beautiful places and is not far from many wonderful tourist attractions.
I would recommend visiting living or working in Jinan highly.
