Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur (KL) is in its totality, peripheral townships and all, a fairly large city of over 7 million people and may seem unwieldy to the unaccustomed eye. KL is the proud home of an amazing array of cultural and historical vestiges from a colorful past. It is warm most of the day - but the storm clouds come in every afternoon. Nice place mellow and safe. Visit every 3 months and the best time is during a World soccer tour - they are really into it! Whatever youdo do not go to the "lighting Bug" place where they all illuminate at the same time - 2 minute visit and eatin alive by bugs!... More

I lived and worked in K.L. as an ex-pat for 4.5 years and was sad to leave. Malays are some of the most humble and hospitable people I have ever encountered. The food is fantastic and the lush tropical landscape is gorgeous. Don't miss the what the rest of the country or Singapore has to offer.... More
