Greece, Athens: Love the People and History 
My wife, teen daughter and I went to Greece as part of a tour package.  We found the people to be super friendly in all the market places as well as on the streets, they seemed to genually care about us and not just out to make a buck.  The history is spectacular, we also went ot Olympia and Delphi and an island tour including Hydra where we walked to a "beach"  stone platform on the Agean to swim, the water was beautiful.  All side trips were worth the time to get to.   We had also gone to Italy where we found more history intact  but very rude people.  I would go back to Greece in a heart beat.
