We stayed at the Trump Taj Mahal on Sunday September 27th 2009. We booked a suite because the children were off of school that Monday and we figured we would utilize the hotel pool for the day. There were 2 adults and 2 children staying in the room.. Prior to booking the hotel we called on 3 occasions to find out the hours of operation of the pool. (as this is what is most important to the children) Never once in our phone calls were adult swim hours mentioned at all. In our room there was a booklet and no pool hours or mention of adult swim were there. My children called the front desk to verify the pool hours prior to changing and again no mention of adult swim. We arrived at the pool at 5:45PM and were rudely thrown out of the area by the women working at the desk in the area as she said an adult swim was starting at 6PM and would continue till 7PM closing. She also said there would be adult swim the next AM from 8AM-10AM. So on a weekend day where children are plentiful 3 hours the pool is only available to adults!! When I complained at the front desk the reservations manager told us we could check out then and not be charged for the night. My children cried so we stayed. That night while making up the beds (we had a suite) we saw there were no blankets/pillows/sheets for the pull out bed in the couch. We called housekeeping for these items and were told there were no blankets in the hotel to be sent. Sheets and only sheets were brought to our room. An adult had to sleep on the pull out bed without any blankets nor pillows. I asked to be compensated for our problems and was reluctantly given a credit for a movie we watched and video games played. The staff all except for the casino employees were rude and uncaring. Try to find another hotel which is both kid-friendly and has blankets!!!!!
