Bahama Mama's
West Sunrise Highway and East Mall Drive , Suite 12-C, International Bazaar
Grand Bahama/Freeport, Bahamas
Definitely a locals hangout, this crowded little bar keeps rocking till at least 3 in the morning - very late by Bahamian standards. The music is mostly reggae, in keeping with local tastes. The atmosphere is anything but formal; the decor is bare-bones, and the beers are cheap. If you visit late at night, expect to see men in hardhats, girls in skimpy little nothings, and groups of rowdy resort workers dancing wildly on the bar. Drinks are neither exotic or pricy. A few snack items are kept behind the bar.
