The Batavia is the in-house café cum lounge within the Straits Meridien Hotel. The café serves a buffet breakfast, mostly for the hotel guests. It has also made a name among the locals for its delectable set lunches and dinners. The à la carte menu lists popular local and a small selection of western fare. Baba and Nonya artifacts placed strategically within the café are highlights of a Straits Chinese theme of décor. The adjoining lounge comes alive in the evening with live entertainment.
