1.Bath--remains the same
I first visited Bath in 1968. When I grew up and married, I would tell my husband and daughters about this really cool plase that had roman baths that was fed by hot springs. When the opportunity came in 2001 to visit with my family, we went and we were not disappointed. My daughters and husband had such a great time with England. Visiting Bath was just the beginning of a fantastic adventure. I had the chance to visit again with my mother in 2006. Went to Bath and Stonehenge, still was f... More

Our whole family which included my husband, sister and her three small children took a trip to London last summer. We wanted to go to Stonehenge and the package came with a trip to Bath, England. It was a great trip. We wandered around the area and got to explore not only the ruins, but the church and village. The children loved it. Not too busy for being summer, and the people were very friendly (except our tour bus guide, he had a problem with children and people talking on the bus). We t... More

Not too busy for being summer, and the people were very friendly (except our tour bus guide, he had a problem with children and people talking on the bus). We take the children every year to a new place to learn about that country's history and so they can be well traveled, and Bath was a wonderful place. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Bath was incredible...definitely worth taking a day trip from London. We left from Paddington Station early in the morning, was in Bath by 9 a.m. Found a mini-bus tour to Stonehenge that left at about 1 p.m. That gave us over 3 hours to stroll around the quaint little town and enjoy the neat little shops hidden in arcades. We returned from Stonehenge around dinner time. We ate dinner at the Pump House, which lies directly above the Roman Baths---phenomenal restaurant, highly recommend. Def... More

We returned from Stonehenge around dinner time. We ate dinner at the Pump House, which lies directly above the Roman Baths---phenomenal restaurant, highly recommend. Definitely see the Roman Baths in the evening hours when it is dark. The Baths are lit with fire torches, and it looks absolutely magical (the museum part is mostly indoors and well lit, so you won't miss anything). Bath was definitely of the coolest things we did in England. We went to Bath for Stonehenge, and ended up enjoying the Roman Baths even more.FYI--don't bother booking a tour for Stonehenge before you get to Bath. If you get to town early, there is a tourist info center literally right across from the train station that books tons of day-of-tours, and they're cheap and easier to schedule your day around. Just get to town early!

I was on a tour through the southern half of England and Bath was one of our stops. It was so beautiful!!! We got to wander around a bit on foot. Then we took a tour of the Roman baths and all the excavation that was still going on below. I found it fabulous. Down below where they were excavating, there is a natural hot water spring. Believe me, you can feel how hot that water is as it's falling. Otherwise, just walking around and seeing all the flower baskets on the window sils, was real... More

I loved my visit to Bath and the rest of England!
