I had the "misfortune" to have car trouble in Bedford. I went to leave just before 7 a.m. and my car would not start. Bill owner of Judy''s Motel made sure I got to a wrecker service as soon as possible then picked me up there took me into town and recommended a place for breakfast and made arrangements to pick me up at the visitor's Bureau when I was ready to come back to the motel. The people in town were open friendly and more than willing to share information - even their morning p... More

Bill owner of Judy''s Motel made sure I got to a wrecker service as soon as possible then picked me up there took me into town and recommended a place for breakfast and made arrangements to pick me up at the visitor's Bureau when I was ready to come back to the motel. The people in town were open friendly and more than willing to share information - even their morning papers. My car was ready before noon but I opted to stay on for another night and see Old Bedford a number of the covered bridges much of the countryside and do more shopping. I will definitely return to Bedford and recommend it as a stop forn anyone else who wants to get a taste of small town America. Get away from the Turnpike entrance and enjoy the town the shops and the people. Make sure you visit the Visitor's Bureau and pick up a list of things to do and see.

pa...MUST SEEBerlin Pa is only minutes away from one of the most historical and unique places around the area if not the state..Not only is HOUSE OF MIRACLES a historic log house and sight of the Whiskey Rebellion but also has recently opened as a internet coffee house eatery and religious store. The menu boasts fresh daily roasted international coffees delicious salads and sandwiches and of course don't forget dessert (cakes gelatto and cheesecake factory cheesecake).

Besides visiting for the above reasons you may find it convenient to stay in the lovely carriage house (built by the owner himself ). The carriage house is available for parties or lodging for special occasions such as weddings and events.
