Not only is Beijing known as the home of the 2008 Summer Olympics, it is also the cultural capital of China. With a population of over 12 million people, Beijing is the second largest city in China. Beijing, sometimes called Peking, is known for the famous Peking Duck dish that requires specific cooking and cutting instructions, featuring crispy skin and tender meat. Beijing is a wildly popular tourist city, attracting millions each year to nearby sites like the Great Wall and TianAnMen Square.
