Lebanon - never again!

Are you guys all nuts? Last year my sister-in-law and her 2 boys were evacuated on one of our aircraft carriers out of Lebanon. I have been there about 5 times, have seen everything, have visited every historical place, got sick every time because ground water is polluted. I have swum at their "beaches" (rocks) with diapers floating next to me and getting a rash. Every time the whole family had to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B and Typhoid fever. Safer and more fun than downtown KC, specially at night

I love going to Beirut and I have been there 3 times. The food, the nightlife and the beaches are all great. The renovated downtown is much like South Beach (Miami). American $ are welcomed everywhere in Beirut and ATMs are available everywhere. Its rough riding the public buses but you can share cabs to just about anywhere. If you really want to splurge then you can head to the local casinos. Make some fast friends and you can be invited to an all-night party on their rooftop. There are lots of ... lebanon is by far one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is surrounded by kind people who are willing to help you around if you don't know how to speak the language used there just as I did, it's very western and free , i mean i really did feel welcomed and I can't wait untill my next trip. ...
