I agree..Belfast is wonderful 
My husband was born in Belfast, and we visited last October. Not only is it a very safe city (I saw that it is rated as the safest big city in Europe), but it contains so much architectural beauty and lots to do. It's nested just outside the countryside, and there are tons of places to go outside the city  as well. If you're going to Belfast, don't miss Belfast Castle, the botanical gardens and the Opera House. Also, take a short trip to Bangor and Strangford Loche to see the seals. We're going again in July and can't wait.
