This museum takes you on a journey, back to the time of the German settlers. The 19th Century farmhouse and National Monument contains an interesting collection of photographs, documents and artifacts relating to the German settlers who came to Natal in 1848. The house is an interesting illustration of the time, offering a first-hand insight into what life was like for settlers and existing inhabitants. The museum preserves a developmental period in the make-up of the city, and is an interesting anthropological excursion.
