I sailed from Honolulu to Christmas Is. Fanning and Bikenibeu. It was my first experience to be in a remote isolated part of the World. The people were excellcent. They were friendly and very hospitable. What was their's was mine they brought so much food we actually had to throw most overboard because we could eat it all. The children brought us lobster 2 or 3 times a day. Diving in the lagoon is excellent as is outsde the atoll. Christmas Is. offers some of the best deep sea fishing you will ever encounter. I islanders pick coconuts and reap the copra. I wish I could return someday.
