Blue Ridge Georgia is a quaint mountain town conveniently located 90 miles from Atlanta. It's amazing what a difference 90 miles makes! Blue Ridge is surrounded by natural beauty & small town charm. This is a wonderful destination if you are seeking rest and relaxation far removed from the hectic pace of everyday life in a big city. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy hiking waterfalls horseback riding fishing boating on Lake Blue Ridge canoeing tubing and white water rafting. Blue Ridge's downtown offers an abundance of antiquing unique shops & art galleries. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is a very popular tourist attraction. Featured in Southern Living Mercier's Orchards is a must see. A local spa Serenity in the Mountains is sure to impress and offers fabulous well priced services for those tired after a day of adventure. The town as well as the surrounding areas seem to continually have some sort of art music or food festival going on most times of the year. Each season in Blue Ridge offers something different and unique in terms of festivals and activities.

In the Blue Ridge area it's easy to stay busy. However many people choose to spend time relaxing in front of a fire or enjoying the hot tub & down time in a rental cabin. We have tried numerous rental companies and our favorite is First Class Cabin Rentals (www.firstclasscabinrentals..com) . They have some of the best inventory in town as well as an impeccable reputation. The cabins are high end well maintained and spotlessly clean. Our favorite is Bent Tree Lodge. It's situated on acreage at the dead end of a road adjoining National Forest Service land so it's very private. Paved road access and close proximity to town make it convenient. The cabin was professionally decorated so it feels like a model home instead of a rental. It has actually been featured in a couple of publications of which there are copies in the cabin. The high end furniture and finishes as well as the attention to detail will impress you but the cabin is very comfortable and welcoming. It has a master suite with comfy king bed on each level so it works out great for three couples. We always enjoy the giant porches overlooking the view on each level as well as the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. The guys love the wet bar pool table and huge movie library on the bottom level.

Many other accommodations as well as area information can be found through the chamber of commerce at www.blueridgemountains.com .. Be warned once you visit you may not want to leave!
