Bohusleden is a 370km hiking path from Strömstad to Lindome. The path is divided into different sections, either suitable for a day's hiking or a weekend trip. The ever-changing landscape consists of lakes, wilderness, meadows and cultural buildings. Every section has an information board with maps of the area. A section suitable for a day of hiking is route 3, from Skatås to Stora Kåsjön lake, 8.5km. Bohusleden meets two other hiking paths as well, Vildmarksleden and Europaled 1. On the way to Stora Kåsjön you pass Härlanda Tjärn lake with swimming facilities, parking spaces and telephones. At Getryggen (The Goat's Back), there is a grand view of Gothenburg and Sävedalen. You walk through a deciduous forest with steep ravines between Blacktjärn and Kåsjön. Hiking maps can be bought at Friluftsfrämjandet. To get here, take tram 5 to Skatås.
