We went there in 97 for a once in a life time honeymoon. I hope to go again though. Huahini was the most authentic with very little tourist. We stayed at a place called Hana Iti which I believe is now gown due to a sunamit that hit a few yrs ago. We met the owner and were treated as family. The water is beyond beautiful. The people even more so. It is extremely expensive but so worth the experience. I wanted to stay forever! We all should love so peacefully and happy.... More

BORA BORA IS AWESOME!! I've been with a major airline and have traveled over the world to Hawaii's the Carribean Europeon Asian and South American beaches. BORA BORA IS AWESOME!! I've been with a major airline and have traveled over the world to Hawaii's the Carribean Europeon Asian and South American beaches. To me Bora Bora is the most calm for snorkeling the most mystical magical place. It's next to Paradise in my book of travels. It was on my 3rd trip to the islands that I was lucky enough to have saved Bora Bora for a honeymoon. The other islands are great but nothing can top BB for a honeymoon. One week in an overwater bungalow #43 at the Pearl Beach Resort on it's own little motu. I was so taken by it that I painted the view from our bungalow for my 1st ever painting. Then we had a week on the Windstar Cruise line to all the islands. It holds no more than 150 people so the service was impeccable. 3 years married now and the dream is still there to get back to that special place Bora Bora. The blend of the Tahitian French culture into the food flowers and smells is Heaven.
