When it comes to visiting Boston, I always suggest visits to the cities two wonderful breweries.  Sam Adams & Harpoon.  The trip to the Sam Adams Brewery is a 15 minute walk from the "T" in Jamaica Plain.  The tour is free, but they ask for a $3 donation, and you get to keep your sampleing glass.  After that another 15 minute walk and your at O'Doyles, an old Irish Bar where the Kenedy's spent time planning political strategies.   After lunch, a $10 cab will bring you to the Harpoon brewery where the history of Harpoon is discussed and wonderfull beer is sanmpled for free.  Enjoy.
