Gothenburg does not have a rich tradition when it comes to winter sports, but competitions in ski jumping used to be held here, on the ski jump in Slottsskogen, now a ruin. It is still very usable as a toboggan slope, though this is not something for little children; even if the old ski jump is not as steep or long as the modern ones, the speeds you can reach are exhilarating-and of course there is the jump. To get here take trams 1, 2 or 7 to Botaniska Trädgården.
