Hungary is the best kepd secret of Europe 
We spent two weeks in Hungary based in Budapest.  Our foreign exchange student who lived with us for a year took us on a whirlwind tour of Hungary and I can't tell you what fun we had.  The infrasturcture is amazing.  It is safe to travel.  We recommend this trip to anyone.  Lake Balaton is wonderful.  There are cathedrals that are from 1000 A.D.  Wineries from 1000 A.D.  What can we say?  The outdoor cafes; the pastries; the FOOD; the shopping; We were treated like Royalty.  We could not find one negative while we were there.  Budapest is wonderful.  We would love to go back and see more.  It has a wonderful culture and most people speak English.  And did I say the FOOD???  Awesome and an unbelieveable bargain.
