Bujumbura a city like no other 
I went to Bujumbura to visit prisons as a American Christian Chaplain. The hotel was great and the people of the city so warm and friendly to us. The city is definately poor and overcrowded. I had not seen  conditions like that in a long time. The food was  very good and tasty. I did see a big number of police officers as we went out ot eat one night, I would guess the crime  rate is high. The prisons were the worst I have ever seen, to say they are not fed well is an understatement. I would not  visit as a tourist but would go back to the prisons.
