Fly in to Cairnes and take local transport to the Port Douglas to enjoy the Reef. We took a helicopter to the Reef. the rainforest and the outback... it was awesome... i highly recommend the helicopter services.. they were fantastic!... More

Wonderful views of the rainforest don't miss the Great Barrier Reef! If you like seafood this is the city in which to eat it. We were able to be up close and personal with bats and other nocturnal creatures in one museum--not everyone's cup of tea but we were fascinated. It rains a LOT so be prepared. People throughout Australia were very pleasant friendly and helpful.... More
