It's Not Safe !!
In 1996 I visited Cairo with a group of approx 900 off of our cruise ship. Two of us women were kidnapped while taking a camel ride! I managed to fight and get away and run back to the group but have never ever forgot the horror in this incident. We had plenty of guards on horses for protection also but they sneak you off trying to make you look like your just going for a tourist camel ride. Also a man on our ship during the same time was kidnapped, robbed and almost beaten to death and left in the desert to die. I think this is one of the most dangerous countrys that I've ever visited in all of my journeys around the world. If it could happen to me with a group of 900 it can happen to anyone. What they don't tell you before you travel to this place could cost you your life. I loved all the wonders and the beauty but the unsafeness just ruined it all for me. They say it was because I was blonde with green eyes so at least make sure you wear a wig of dark hair when entering into this country. If you value your life I would just watch this country on television.
