Salamanca is a beautiful city located in western Spain. The city has a huge student population, and hence is a very lively place at almost any time of the year. Most of the city structures are constructed with sandstone adding a glow to the edifice—that gives a reason for the city being nicknamed The Golden City. When you are touring Salamanca, don't forget to check out the two Cathedrals, the La Casa de las Conchas, and the Roman bridge, which are famous tourist spots. And before you leave the city make sure you sample some of the Charreria, which is a Salamancan casserole made with scrumptious garbanzo beans.
