Cascais was a beautiful seaside town with a small fishing fleet and lovely shops selling everything from Levi's to glazed wall (and counter) tiles. It has in the last 5 years been overrun with wealthy folks who've torn down some of the classic buildings and put up their own mansions. The view is still gorgeous and the people very friendly. ... We spent four days in Cascais winding down from a European tour and enjoyed every minute. Its a beautiful area on the coast about fifteen miles from Lisbon. Great scenery wonderful shops and food and nice people. ... More
