If you pass through at high speeds (Colorado drivers-we see you all the time speeding along I 25 and wonder why you need to exceed the speed limit by 30 miles per hour) you will not appreciate the town and it's people. Long-time residents know what we have to offer: A great place to raise a family where you know your child's teachers and sports coaches where you know the grocery checkers and where your accountant is the ref at your son's football game. Casper is going though a growth phase due to the energy boom but is handling it well. We are also a center for medical expertise for the entire region. As a tourist--there are many things to see but Casper is perhaps a best as a base for exploring more of Wyoming's many destinations. Must sees: the National Historic Trails Museum the Tate Museum at Casper College for dinosaur digs history and Fort Casper a historical replication of early days. We also offer a tremendous art museum-the Nic- whose exhibits will be a surprise to many in the sophisticaion offered. We are not glossy or slick but are a hardworking western town that holds dear those old values of very hard work and honesty and neighborliness that is hard to find elsewhere. For culture we have excellent plays at our local Stage III Community theatre and tremendous productions and talent produced at our local and excellent community Casper College which excells at dramatic/comedic/musical theater. We are the seat of state championship games for youth soccer and for national events such as the College National Finals Rodeo where you will see the most hard-working and ethical youths in the nation trying their very best to become champions in their indiviual sports. As a tourist town perhaps we are not the most exciting. But---if you want to experience the best of the west without the commercialization of entertainment parks like Disneyworld come and stay awhile.
Purpose of your trip: Personal
Cost of your stay: Over $7000
