The Philippines is a beautiful country and the Most Beautiful City is Cebu. This is the oldest city in the Philippines and this is where the famous explorer Ferdinand Magellan planted the cross in 1521. All city dwellers know that fact and they will tell you this. The Philippines is a beautiful country and the Most Beautiful City is Cebu. This is the oldest city in the Philippines and this is where the famous explorer Ferdinand Magellan planted the cross in 1521. All city dwellers know that fact and they will tell you this. This beautiful city has a glorious past rich in history. There are many Spanish colonial churches that adorn the city. They have beautiful hotels and resorts. My favorites are Plantation Bay & Spa in Mactan Waterfront Hotel and Allegre Beach Hotel. When in Plantation Bay try the hot pool w/ jacuzzi jets thalassic pool and cold cascading pool. Then try the swim-up bar w/ health foods and drinks for detoxifying. It's very refreshing. Cebu has world class scuba diving world class golf courses and shopping malls that would satisfy bargain hunters and shopping enthusiasts. A lot of the tourists who visit this city are mostly businessmen and families who want to be pampered and entertained. The most beautiful beaches are Maribago Blue water Allegre Beach Savedra Beach and White Sand Beach. You wont get tired looking at the cool crystalline waters lapping the pearly white sands. It's breathtaking! Take a look at these sites: cebucitytourism.com; cebu-travel.com; cebucity.gov.ph; cebuheartofthephilippines.com; asiatravel.com/cebu/waterfront/index.html
