Go to a Charlotte Panthers game and have a blast. Before or after the game have a bucket of oysters at Lennys. Take the tram to your hotel. Get up and head for Myrtle Beach SC .Play golf ,go fishing and play on the beach ... Read Full Review | Report This

# 9 has it correct. the old Charlotte folks were true southerners but Charloote has become a big metro melting pot of America (like Atlanta). If you truely want to find the old south then you must visit anywhere in South Carolina or rural NC & Georgia. Northerners and Mexicans are infiltrating the larger cities but skip over SC for the most part. Reason? Because SC and rural NC & Georgia is "clicky". Get outside the actual big city and find out what southern folk are about .I came from ST. Louis now there's another story some people call me a Yankee but I'm a southern lady yes we are still mad about the Yankees throwing back our cannon balls ,I'm proud to live in a town where Andrew Jackson once fought Away Dixie Land Away! ... lots of good restaurants . . try the brew house.. great food and drink. Lots of professional wrestlers live here . .. they used to be prt of the now defunt NWA.. but still fun to see them . . they are absolutely characters .. like sort of cartoon guys .. but your kids will know and think it is cool. Listen facts are facts, Charlotte is a beautiful city and most of the people are uptight business people wether your southerner, a Yankee, mexican, afro-american, asian, etc. And this is a reply to the review directly under this, wow you seem pretty angry at us "southerners" huh? Well who pissed in your cornflakes buddy? Get over it.... lifes too short to worry about petty stuff.
