TOO MANY SOUTHERNERS IN CHARLOTTE. MY GREAT GRANDFATHER FOUGHT AND WON THE WAR WITH THE SOUTH AND NOW US YANKEES ARE PART OF WHAT WE CALL....NORTHERN OCCUPATION OF LAND WON . Having lived in Charlotte for 10 years now... I used to like Charlotte however, New Yorkers are moving in way to fast.... and the new yorkers that first went to Florida are frustrated with the surge (and hurricanes down there) They have infiltrated the city as well.... Dang... I really hate the loudness in their voices and they are rude and pushy. I moved here for my job and some southern slowness... This city and the banking industry has ruined the city... Birmingham is better!

I have been here almost a year, and I am not crazy about it. It's boring and congested. If you can believe it, my real home, Birmingham, AL, is much more sophisticated. Hispanics are moving in here to Charlotte in droves, as this is a sanctuary city. I hate going to the Walmart on Tryon St. You would think you are in Mexico, and it shows no signs of slowing down. The service industry is terrible here. So hard to find a decent plumber, etc, and contractors are the worst you can imagine. V ... Read Full Review | Report This

the good thing about Charlotte...the weather. The bad thing..not nice to people who are new to the city, BAD school system (one of the lowest rated in the nation), crazy drivers (especially if they call for snow or ice...which rarely happens), the only two hospital systems, the lack of original restaurants, not a good sports city. ...
