I am unable to tell you because Tragically I was killed while crossing your deadly road, I only went to get a newspaper, and then your delay in providing me the medical care I needed demanding a huge sum of cash for a Medical Emergency, and what kind of person with any type of morals wouldn't at least send a note of apology? My Mother was only 57 years old and was the sweetest and kindest person, not just some foreigner, I would not recommend Chiang Mai to anyone I cared for. ... Read Full Review | Report This

Elephant experience

Went to Bangkok in December and were fortunate to be able to get a flight to Chang Mai for two days. We got a private guide to take us around, and skipped the formal itinerary and asked to have her show us what ever she could within the time period we had. It cost a bit more, but we saw everything and didn't waste any time. You should visit the elephant camp and take an elephant ride into the jungle, the short one is good enough. Loved Chiang Mai!

I accompanied by husband on a business trip to Thailand and we decided to take a side trip to Chiang Mai, a one hour flight north of Bangkok. We stayed at Baan Orapin B&B, just across the road from the Ping River (www.baanorapin.com). It was a short walk to the footbridge crossing the river and into the heart of old Chiang Mai.
