Very Relaxing

This is a great place to relax enjoy nature and the beach. It's about an hour south of Ocean City but seems to be a world away. Isn't commercialized at all. We spotted Chincoteague on the map while taking a day trip along the eastern shore of Maryland and Virginia and decided to spend our last hour or so of daylight in Chincoteague. Quite interesting to pass by the NASA center and see all of the equipment firsthand. Able to see quite a few ponies and horses. Beautiful homes and cottages. Loved the charming table alongside the street covered with an abundance of beautiful shells! Indescribable sunset! ... More

Stayed at Waterside Motor Inn for years. Great summer vacation site...beach wildlife ponies crabbing bicycling motor scooters. Very nice warm welcoming people. Best homemade ice cream on earth at Island Creamery. Pony roundup and fireman's carnival straight out of the 40's and great fun. Fun fun fun spot!... More
