Located just north of Nagarakawa, Hiroshima's entertainment district, Chokyo continues to enjoy success in its third year as an okonomiyaki restaurant a cut above most “mom and pop” shops, yet still comfortable and friendly. Guests can sit at the L-shaped teppan, at several tables with personal grills, or in a private room if their party is large enough. In addition to generous portions of okonomiyaki, Chokyo serves oysters and seafood when in season, using a local salt that retails for Y3000 a kilo. Drinks include local sake, shochu, beer and sodas, and the restaurant also provides a large manga library for those grown tired of the cooking on display.
