In the city off the CITI controlled itinerary your can find a great America-China WWII museum that few even Chinese are aware of. Nice seeing my open mouth CITI Guide going thru. He is a college Grad from the Univ in the city yet NEVER KNEW we were allies during WWII. Well worth skipping the usual bad lunch anyway. Had to insist on that to get the time to get to the museum. It is housed in the house used by GEN Stillwell during the war.... More

We were there because that's the city our daughter was in when we adopted her! By that time of the trip we really missed home and just wanted to get our daughter and go home. However Chongqing was nice. It was definitely going under construction 24 hours a day and at night we heard jack hammers going all night. Hotels were wonderful & we toured the highest part in Chongqing and had some tea. Weather was extremely hot and muggy! Stores were easy to find and people were very friendly. Best part of... More

I would never visit any place where they embrace the skinning alive of cats dogs and other live animals. Such barbarism makes their modern accomplishments look pretty superficial. Money is now their god; they are not interested in their own humanity as a people. I will not visit China until they legislate humanitarian laws that forbid abuse to any living creature. I will also no longer buy Chinese products; ever.... More

get a life.Yes China kills and eats dogs. And yes the furs are sometime used in adorning your jackets. But they are not the only country that do those things. Most asian countries do. You are so sheltered here in the U.S. go out and have some adventure. China is a fascinating country. Not everyone there will eat your pet. Go to Texas and see how many cows are butchered to feed you MITCH.... More
