I am very suprised that the Millium is the chosen hotel. They have made the papers for having bedbugs. I was going to stay there early this year but every room they showed me was very dark. I knew I would not be able to put on my makeup in the dark. I have never been in a hotel or anywhere with such a low wattage on a bulb. I then heard from people that live there that right after I left they made the papers for having bedbugs. Glad I did not stay. Do you think that was the reason for the low li... More

I've been here ten years -- love the beautiful parks with their fantastic views -- prefer the weather here -- mild winters and a rather quick jump into Springtime. However I think it's about time that the Nati come out of the dark ages and get a better public transportation system! I miss the Rapid Transit in my hometown Cleveland Ohio. However I think it's about time that the Nati come out of the dark ages and get a better public transportation system! I miss the Rapid Transit in my hometown Cleveland Ohio. There is no where in Cleveland that you can't get to using public transportation. Most all major cities have rail transportation. They say they don't have one because of the cost. Nonetheless I believe that the unemployment rate would drop considerably in this town with the installation of a rail system for mass transportation. People who don't drive lose out in the marketplace because many good paying jobs are located in outlying areas and people who don't drive for whatever reason cannot go to to certain destination using The Metro Bus because their services are limited. Even without a rail system in place why don't city management consider offering better public transportation using what they already have in place ---- Metro. I've been told that certain zoning laws is the responsible culprit when it comes to Metro. Well laws can change can't they ? If the city wants to see new growth and their economy expand then the Nati need to broaden their horizon and get in the fast lane.

the stories this old river town could tell youJust think of how many bare feet have stepped from boats on that river to a freedom they had never known before in the south. Step inside any one of the many architecturally stunning churches within several blocks of each other near Garfield Park. You'll think you are in Europe. Stay at The Garfield Inn..great service great suites & workout room. Don't miss the bronze statue (recently cleaned and restored) on the square and if you are interested in art deco to die for plan on walking through the downtown Hilton sit in the large bar/cocktail area sip a beverage and take it all in. You can walk across the river taking \The Purple People Bridge\ to the adjoining city of Newport Beach Ky for the aquarium and other points of interest. And you must go to Arnold's downtown. It is the oldest restaurant/bar in the whole city. Much the same as it ever was BUT unexpectedlythere is an outdoor room with bands performing on \the porch\. Food and prices are good. Still want more? Check out The Taft Museum.....beautiful in every way or how about seeing the Music Hall. It's like it's from another time all together and then of course there is the train station that is no longer a train station with it's many things to do and see and oh the stories that place still holds of the thousands of young boys in years past who left from there to begin their military service for this country. A place of many tears both sad and joyful. It's a great town!

BUT step inside and the scenes can change dramatically. Restuarants are trendy doctors offices and hospitals are updated museums are upscale. The parks are wonderful and some blocks downtown are fun to walk. The downtown architecture seems to harmonize with the surrounding neighborhoods more than any other city I've seen. My biggest complaint is that it seems that I'm always parking in a garage or alley and seeing the back of the place I'm going before I can get the \wow-factor\ of the front door. Having 2 major interstates converge downtown doesn't help ambiance either. Regardless Cincinnati is \home\ and I love it.
