other wise keep goingExcellent RR depot museum on northside: steam locomotive passenger car 2 cabooses track service car; original depot with effective replicas of old pharmacy Railway Express office etc. showing rise and fall of town. Town's decent eateries across street. Not in AAA tourbook. Otherwise anthill of commercialism bringing mass produced items to many thousands of truckers from miles around. Inspired me to poetry:Trucks are bigTrucks are smallCookeville traffic's chokingon them all.Hotel (3 stars!) displayed itemized fines for stealing each item from room prominently at front desk (never saw THAT before) and lots of cop cars and cop stations on streets go figure crime rate.
