2.Cobh in County Cork
My Wife and I spent part of our Honeymoon (1989) here. There was a lovely charm to the area. The people were extremely friendly. And while the weather was rather cool, we were there in early November, we were very fortunate that it only seemed to rain at night. One of the things I highly reccomend is driving the Ring of Kerry and staying at one of the many Bed & Breakfast located on this very scenic drive... More

County Cork was terrific. I made a visit down Bantry Bay to Bere Island. There is aregatta the 1st or 2nd weekend of August every year. I could not spend the the night as all B&Bs and te hotel were booked. I did go back later in the week. Dunboy castle has been redone into hotel/ night club type atmosphere. It was a blast.... More

5.Hidden Beauty of Cork
As the plane banks to the right to land and you are luck enough to have a window seat you will witness a beauty a professional artist could not duplicate. The scenic beauty is dwarfed by Cork's hidden beauty. Outstanding are the Cork people. They are very open and accepting and make a visitor to their homeland never want to leave. The historic places to go , the seaside views, the food, the scenery, the love they share for Ireland make you ask yourself why am I leaving. I plan to return soo... More
