My Wife and I spent part of our Honeymoon (1989) here. There was a lovely charm to the area. The people were extremely friendly. And while the weather was rather cool we were there in early November we were very fortunate that it only seemed to rain at night. One of the things I highly reccomend is driving the Ring of Kerry and staying at one of the many Bed & Breakfast located on this very scenic drive... More

County Cork was terrific. I made a visit down Bantry Bay to Bere Island. There is aregatta the 1st or 2nd weekend of August every year. I could not spend the the night as all B&Bs and te hotel were booked. I did go back later in the week. Dunboy castle has been redone into hotel/ night club type atmosphere. It was a blast.... More

e banks to the right if your fortunate you have a window seat. The picture view of cork Ire from the air could not be reproduced in a commercial postcard. This first impression from the air is dwarfed when you actually travel around cork. The friendliness of the people the love they have for Ireland the beauty of the scenery and the ease that they put the visitor to their area can not be found anywhere else. I have travel throughout Cork and when I was leaving I had ask myself why.... More
