My husband had lived in Culebra for 3 yrs so he knows the hours of the ferry. It was a dream. We stayed there all day. We went to a spot where you couldn't see anyone left or right, and we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. It was our little hideaway. I can't wait to go back when we visit P.R

I went to Culebra with my family while we were chartering a sailboat on the east coast of Peurto Rico. It was truly an amazing island, and we loved the small town atmosphere and people we met. During the day we went diving and snorkeling off our boat, and went hiking on a small island close by called Culebrita. Truly amazing because it is a nature conservatory and if you hike to the top, you can view the entire island. Not sure I'd go here without our own private boat, but it is a sailor's dream!

I went with my grown children over a time that happened to be a vacation week for the people of P.R. It was around the middle of July...It took us all day to get a ferry over and then we could not buy around trip ticket so had to wait in line for hours the next day to get off the island. We were not able to get a ticket after waiting at least 4 hours and ended up on a cargo ferry very late at night...Everything closes very early, ie. restaurants, shops etc. and the hotels on the island are far from 4-5 star...Everything in the rooms were very old, worn out, beds, matteresses and A.C. all subpar.. I would never recommend anything about this island except staying away from it..

Culebra is definitely a must see island! Quite a wait to board the ferry but definietly worth it!
