The whole world should make more efforts in saving the Old City 
The world have been too busy worrying about politics and forgetting about a city that actually summarizes a big part of the world's history since the beginning of the civilizations! More efforts, awareness and money should come to save this amazing maze of treasures. Although a lot of the old houses in Damascus are being transformed into restaurants, bars and sometime small boutique hotels. There are still so many parts of it that are still in need for some type of care and maintenance to keep it standing instead of abandoning it demolishing to build a new road or a concrete building. However it's still not too late! Let's all work together in saving this treasure. After all Damascus was the place where Christianity was spread to the whole world and where you can see 7000 years of history all in one place.
