I remember Debrovnik as a beautiful walled City with a moat at the old entrance. I had just turned 18 and was really impressed with the old City. I am a 100% full blooded Croatian, who enjoys and thrives to go back to Croatia every summer. I have my own house in a small town near Zadar, which is where I left my heart. The scenery of Croatia, the gorgeous coast, the crystal clear water is even more breathtaking with every trip! Every single inch of Croatia is gorgeous, hands down! DEFINETLY WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT! PARADISE ON EARTH. ... Read Full Review | Report This

I visited Dubrovnik in 1990, before the war, when it was still in Yugoslavia. It really was the high point of my five and a half week back-packing trip across Europe, so much so that I actually returned later in the same trip, to enjoy it some more. It was heart-breaking to see the beautiful old buildings having chunks blown off of them from the shelling, and the old streets strewn with rubble. I'm sure it has been cleaned up. I hope it has been restored to its former splendor. ... Read Full Review | Report This
